Why Did You Decide to Become a Sleep Apnea Dentist?
Dr. Lively started practicing dentistry in 1997, and he eventually discovered that his dental knowledge could be used to treat patients dealing with sleep apnea and snoring. As someone who naturally wants to help people, he was more than happy to undergo the advanced training to learn how to create custom-made sleep appliances. Today, he dedicates much of his time and energy to learning about and treating the condition so he can help his patients feel better and live longer.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Lively attended Western Oklahoma State College and Oklahoma State University for his undergraduate education, and he went on to obtain his doctorate at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. Since then, he has attended countless continuing education courses focusing on both dentistry and sleep apnea therapy. Previously, he has studied at the prestigious Misch Institute and is also a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Outside of the dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Lively feels very lucky that he got to marry his high school sweetheart, Tuni, and they now have 3 wonderful daughters named Loclynn, Lynsi, and Landri. When not helping patients, he prefers to spend most of his free time with them, whether that consists of watching sports or traveling to new destinations. He is also an aviation enthusiast and has been flying for over 10 years. Always looking to try new things, he even went skydiving once, though he prefers to stay inside the plane these days! A few years ago, he started working with an organization called Kingdom ComeUNITY, which is dedicated to aiding local and regional community development.
